Recorded 2020 Yogathon Sessions
Chakra Cleanse Vinyasa Flow with Jacqui Bonwell, E-RYT/YACEP: Jacqui’s signature Vinyasa Yoga flow is a physical journey through the 7 major chakras, our body’s energy centers. Use postures, breath, color, meditation, chanting & sound healing to reach higher internal states. Get on the internal good foot and WAKE UP dormant skills & resources that maybe haven't spoken in a while. Get back to the strength you were born with.
Restorative & Yoga Nidra with Robin Ivy, E-RYT/YACEP: Robin will ease you into the quieter practices of Restorative and Yoga Nidra. Experience a gentle transition from longer held stretches to resting and replenishing with a sense of space in both body and mind. Then Robin will guide you into a unique yoga nidra journey. As brain waves decrease, you may experience inner harmony, a sense of true peace and the state of pure consciousness.
BRING: 1-2 blankets, 1-2 throw or bed pillows, eye pillow or washcloth.
DEEP BREATH: Radical Elevation in Times of Change/Stress with Tania Zuckerman: Immerse yourself in the ever-present, ever-expanding, ever-connecting breath. Find your own "breath within the breath", experience your full being, and dive into an "awakened" pause. Soften, receive, and elevate with the power of your own breath. This session is led by long-time Therapeutic Breathwork practitioner, Journey Breathwork guide, and Somatic Breath Therapist, Tania Zuckerman. Session will include an introduction to integrative Journey Breathwork, and additional nourishing, soulful breaths to unwind and re-center. Check out these take-home practices to support restoration, connection and empowerment in these times.
Mindfulness Meditation with Susa Talan: Join local meditation teacher Susa Talan for a 20-minute mindfulness meditation with periods of guidance and silence. You can sit, stand, lie down or walk - any position works! No experience necessary, all levels welcome. No problem if you have a racing mind, an anxious heart, or a body that you haven't checked in with for a while. We'll explore what's possible when we pause, pay attention and meet our experience with kind awareness. Susa has been studying and practicing Insight Meditation for more than 14 years and offers workshops on mindfulness + meditation in a variety of settings. Julie Campilio
I’ve spent many years living in fight or flight mode as I navigated chronic anxiety with depression. It wasn’t until I found yoga and mindfulness that I gained tools to calm down, especially in uncomfortable situations. I am deeply committed to helping people develop their unique toolkit to enable them to navigate life’s stressful situations. I love sharing accessible mind/body practices and helping people understand they are not alone. I love working with all ages and learning styles.
Over the past decade, I’ve brought yoga and mindfulness to youth, trained hundreds of people, and taught thousands of students through Radiant Beginnings Yoga. I’ve partnered with researchers, occupational therapists, social workers, and teachers to create easily digestible and engaging content for youth and beginners. Watching students shift from anxious and impulsive to calm and kind is what fuels my passion for this work.

She is an adjunct professor at the University of Southern Maine and teaches for the Recreation Health and Fitness Department and the owner of Arcana, a center for Holistic Health in the Old Port. Besides working with those in recovery, Jennie's heart work is also training other yoga instructors including over 70 in Southern Maine. She aims to empower her students and clients to participate in their own growth process by teaching practical yoga tools and by encouraging others to remember and reclaim their powerful, divine nature.
