Jumping with joy into 2020!
Announcing our new Executive Director Elise Boyson
Sea Change Yoga is excited to announce Elise Boyson as our next Executive Director! Elise returned to her home state of Maine from Colorado in mid-November to begin her new role and has hit the ground running.
The Board of Directors and Sea Change Yoga’s Founder and outgoing Executive Director, Diana Lee are thrilled with the choice. “I am over the moon!” Diana said. “Elise is the perfect leader to bring this organization into the next phase of growth. We are all so excited to see where her passion and vision brings Sea Change Yoga in 2020 and into the next decade.”
Elise brings with her more than a decade of non-profit experience and has exhibited a deep commitment to working with marginalized populations. She most recently worked at the Durango Community Shelter in southwest Colorado, providing intensive case management to people experiencing homelessness. Many in Portland will remember her as the Manager of Volunteer Programs at Preble Street, where she worked as part of the Development team to recruit and train volunteers and increase community awareness and support. A longtime advocate for social justice, Elise is also a certified yoga teacher and was partnering with the national organization Young People in Recovery in Colorado to offer yoga to people affected by addiction.
Elise is passionate about the healing power of yoga, empowering our communities, and working together to create possibilities and success. “This is my dream job!”, Elise shared. “I am thrilled and honored to build upon Sea Change Yoga’s strong foundation and mission to bring the healing power of yoga and meditation to people who might not otherwise have access to these tools,”
Please join us in welcoming Elise to Sea Change Yoga!
